Discipleship at Salmon Valley

What is Discipleship?
In order to understand discipleship, we must look at Jesus. Jesus welcomed the 12 disciples into His life, teaching them how to pray, study scripture, love people, and honor God with their lives. That is what discipleship should look like today, too: doing life together for the purpose of knowing Jesus more and making Him known among all peoples.

Why Discipleship?
We practice discipleship because Jesus did it first, and He is our example. Then the apostles did it, and they told us to imitate them as they imitated Jesus. Today, Salmon Valley seeks to do just that by offering courses, like those below, that teach the body of Christ how to know Jesus more deeply and how to better share His name and gospel among all peoples.

How do we do Discipleship?
Salmon Valley seeks to practice discipleship by (1) learning how to know Jesus, (2) learning how to obey Jesus, and (3) learning how to share Jesus with those who don’t know Him. Through the courses detailed below, Salmon Valley hopes to train followers of Jesus who not only love Jesus with all that they have but also love others enough to tell them about He who is the Way, Truth, and Life.
